Animals

A large number of pets and horses have been affected or displaced by the wildfire. Many of the homes destroyed were horse properties. The Colorado Horse Rescue is doing its best to provide relief as they now have more than double the number of horses usually boarded. If you know of anyone able to temporarily board horses, donate hay, or if you would like to make a cash donation please contact the Colorado Horse Rescue at www.chr.org. The Humane Society of Boulder County is offering pet housing, supplies and lost and found services. At this time, their greatest need is cash donations. Please donate online at www.boulderhumane.org/wildfire.

Red Cross Donations

Financial support is requested. The best way you can help is through a direct monetary donation as it enables a quick response and the flexibility to meet the greatest needs for assistance. It is suggested that cash donations be made to The Red Cross. Please visit www.ColoradoRedCross.org/donate to make a donation.

Quite a thoughtful post. I think it is a great idea of collecting donations and then helping the people in need of it.
